Well , IMHO , those who propose going north on 101 from Olympia to Pt. Angeles/Sequim area and taking the Coho ferry from Pt. Angeles to Victoria as "walk-on passengers" for a day trip is your best option. Lots of cgs in that area to leave your trailer . All day parking in across the street from the ferry terminal is $10. Foot passenger fee is $17 each way (children are cheaper but I don't know that rate). My memory (just there last week)is that he ferry (90 minute ride) leaves Pt. Angeles about 8 AM and about every 4 hours until night time. Return from Victoria is about 3 PM, 7PM, 10 PM (approx.) so you an have a good long time exploring the main core of Victoria.
Check this" https://cohoferry.com for details and enjoy VIctoria.
Also FYI there is a Victoria info. center beside the ferry terminal in Pt.Angeles.
Also - passports ARE necessary!!
