airport shuttle near Cherry Hill campground College Park MD

We are planning on staying at Cherry Hill campground in Maryland while visiting Washington DC this summer. One of our adult children is planning on flying in to meet us there. She has the option of flying into Reagan International airport or Baltimore-Washington International.

We would prefer if she flew into Baltimore for convenience, however, it is considerably cheaper for her to fly into Reagan. We are wondering if there is a shuttle from Reagan that would take her directly to a location closer to College Park MD, where the campground is located.

Of course, we expect to drive to pick her up, but we are looking for a safe way for her to get a little closer to where we will be staying. I don't want her doing transfers etc. as I would be much more comfortable with her taking one shuttle to meet us directly and the same for her return trip to the airport.

Is anyone familiar with the shuttles out of Reagan (or Baltimore-Washington) that would bring her a little closer to us for ease of pick up?

Many thanks!
  • Metro station right in front of Reagan - couldn't be easier to find. Tell her to stick with one rolling piece of luggage, grab the Yellow Line to College Park. Cheaper and faster than any shuttle.

How much luggage will she have? The best way into and out of Reagan is the metro. As long as it isn't rush hour she should have no problem with even a large rolling suitcase. The metro will be both faster and cheaper than Super Shuttle. She can take it to College Park Metro, maybe 2 miles to Cherry Hill. Greenbelt Metro is also close, but a little more complicated to return from.

X2...agree both fast and low cost if she comes into Reagan.

BWI is usually a better experience if you find a competitive flight.
  • The Metro buses run direct from the Metro station to the campground.
  • Check the Metro and get off at College Park. I will be heading to Cherry Hill myself n a few weeks.

  • Super Shuttle has shared shuttle service from Washington National DCA (Reagan) for $28 http://www.supershuttle.com/Locations/DCAAirportShuttleWashington.aspx
