I can understand their problems and sympathize to a large extent. The city Walmarts have already prohibited overnight stays (and longer) due to the many squatters and transients who were making the parking lots their permanent home. With the endemic drug and alcohol problems in that segment of the population it was an eyesore, and actually getting a bit dangerous from very aggressive panhandlers. Unfortunate, but understandable. With the Alaskan rules on being able to boondock on just about any turnout or gravel pit that is not posted, I would think a rule such as this would not be a major hardship. We have traveled to Alaska 6 times since 2006 and boondock extensively.
