Alaska Highway - Haines Junction to Beaver Creek/border

Those two dollar amounts are impressive. Are the $1.5 billion (Canada) and $460 million (US) amounts after conversion of the individual expenditures to 2014 dollars?

You could build a lot of road for a million dollars in the early 1940s but that won't get you an intersection today. Just the Environmental Impact Statement (US term) for the intersection will cost that much today.
