Albuquerque,N.M. to Tomaoc,Co. to Hurricane,Ut.

We are planning the following trip ( Albuquerque,N.M. to Tomaoc,Co. to Hurricane,Ut. ) and our trip planner shows us taking N.M. 550, N.M. 64, N.M. 491 to Co. 160. Then leaving Tomaoc,Co. on Co. 1...

We just traveled from Blanding, UT through Hurricane on our way home yesterday. Road conditions on 160/98/89/389/59 from Kayante to Hurricane were good. The only steep grade is going down hill into Hurricane. Short stretches of 5% and 8% grades. Use low gear and you will be ok. No switchbacks, just winding down hill.
