All these questions on routing???
Just curious about all the requests for best routes etc, some even between towns in the same state. Having drove all over Europe while in the military there, and all over the U.S. while driving truck...

I absolutely LOVE to pour over paper maps to get an idea of new places to see. I guess you could call this a hobby of mine. We love secondary roads, not interstates. For the Western states, nothing, including a GPS, can compare to the Benchmark series of atlases for each state.
When I get a route in mind from using Benchmark, then I use the GPS to map it out.
When folks ask directions, I don't mind helping them out if I can as it gives me another incentive to get out those maps. :) Keep asking, folks.
