It's a great park. Discovered it a couple of years ago and have been back several times. Two things in your blog disturb me though. Travelling across counties with firewood can lead to the spread of invasive bugs and disease that have decimated forests. You should pick it up locally. By locally I don't mean scrounging fallen wood within the parks. It is illegal. Downed trees are part of the ecosystem and are required for forest and wildlife regeneration. If everyone picked up and burnt all the fallen trees the forest will die. Please don't do this.
