Almost ready

The last of the check list was completed for the rv and toad today and the DW and I start north in ten days. Schedule looks good enough for committing to a boat charter the last week of July for offshore fishing just north of Homer. Sons wifes family are resident there and should be a welcome fishing trip.

A big part of a great trip is the planning and preparations. I have been working on this for about 8 months including the purchase of a new toad. Time to shift to the execution phase. All that is left is the creation of a sign for the sign forest.

This will be our second trip. We will continue to be impressed by the northland

    I do not have a fix on how far north of Homer. That will be developed enroute. From south Texas any where between Anchorage and Homer is too close to call.

    I finished my last ToDo List item today and I'll be pulling out Sunday or Monday. Headed to BC in my Class B to meet up with an old childhood friend and her husband in their 5th wheel. Then we'll be going up the hiway to the Kenai/Soldotna area to visit friends and show her husband where we grew up. It's been 40 odd years since either of us have been back - my last time was in '68. Got lots of activities planned when we get there provided the Funny River fire hasn't burned everything to the ground before we get there.

    Happy (and safe) trails to you. We'll be heading there next year.
