Any bad stretches near you?

I got this idea from a questioning post for I-59. I was just thinking if we could post any know road condition issues near us, we might beat the trip planning people in getting up to date information.
I have two regarding I-70 in Indiana; east and west bound between Ohio line and Centerville, Indiana has holes randomly on the outside of left lanes. Especially hard to see in the rain and at night. \
Also, I-70 near the east side of Indianapolis has been under some kind of construction for about ten years it seems. Not so rough, but very narrow lanes sometimes. Just keep your pants on and be careful.

    Cali is the same. All the gas taxes that are supposed to go roads somehow got 'borrowed' for other programs -- leaving Cali roads ranked as among the worst in the nation.


    Yeah everything goes into the general fund now, so the politicians
    can get their grubby little hands on everything.
    And people wonder why our roads are so bad, and fish and game is in such a sorry state

    I am in Desert Hot Springs, Ca. Not far from I-10. I would say everything west of here is to be avoided TRAFFIC!

    Richmond. Worked with some accounts from your hometown for many years. I used to make 3 trips a week for 24 years to your fair city. Small world.

    Going North on 101 from Florence to Tillamook is the 2nd time we have had items moved rearranged and moved around in the TT .. not sure exactly where it happened, whether on the small town streets or on 131 from Tillamook to Cape Lookout State Park.

    Of course, it could be from the tight turns, but nonetheless .. was kinda disappointed - of course this is our first trip from Lincoln City to Tillamook, and was told that the area around Tillamook finally received some street improvements .. just wondering.

    I-75 Through Dayton is always a perpetual yellow barrel zone. Really doesn't matter the time of the year.

    In Arizona; Winter on the 40 is always a potential problem, due to snow and high winds; south on the 10 is something to watch year 'round due to blowing dust between Tucson and Phoenix, but the roads are well kept, with ongoing construction projects which can be found at AZDOT.com

    You mentioned I-70 East of Indianapolis. Here again, from Indianapolis to Ohio is horrible for the same reason. I quite driving this stretch and started taking secondary highways and even county roads. Many county roads are smoother than I-70.

    And then when you get close to Richmond ... OH MY GOSH! Just get off I-70 anywhere and take back roads, unless you enjoy having the******literally shook out of you, your camper, and everything you've got! There again, when not towing, you don't notice it.

    I-65 South of Indianapolis is horrible also for the same reason. No kidding ... in Indiana, I've started avoiding all interstates ... everywhere when towing. I don't enjoy riding raging bulls bucking and kicking the stuffings out of me!


    Yep. Eastbound 70 you are better off exiting at Mt. Comfort Rd and taking US40.

    Westbound 70 same thing, exit at Plainfield and take US40 to Terre Haute. Speed limits on 40 vary from 35 in small towns to 55, but I tow slow anyway. I'll get there when I get there.
