anyone to zacatecas to take durango maz cuota, next 3 days?

I am in Zacatecas and planning on going to Durango to take the new cuota to Mazatlan. Feeling a bit nervous about Zac to Durango, due to stories, and would like company if anyone is headed this way in the next couple of days. If I have to do it alone, I plan to wait just north of Zacatecas for the first class bus to come through and tuck in front of him. I have the times. My other option is to take a 2 hour detour and go straight nortth to intercept 40D at cuenarme. I  spotted a motel in Durango with a large parking lot, since there is no RV park, if i do that.

Got an email from someone who did it a few days ago. They said they stayed in Zac and got to Durango around noon and decided to give it a go. Said it took about 4 hours top to bottom with another 30 minutes to Maz. They said they did see a Walmart and Sam's in Durango but decided to push on. Said the road is amazing.

Its the road from zac to durango that concerns me. I guess the best thing to do is stay with traffic. There must be more truck traffic, now that road is open.

We just rode from SLP to Zacatacus a week ago - toll and libre... What's going on between Zacatacus and Durango?
