Ok I just came up from our home in Querétaro Mexico. checked with Aduana when I crossed into the USA and turned in my truck TIP. There is no problem. Moisheh, You are correct. The truck and trailer (open or enclosed) go under one 180 day permit the Motorhome under a separate 10 year permit, and both can go in my name only.
For other folks responding, I do own property in Querétaro and do have space to park it. also for those (indicating and inferring that every Mexican is a thief) I can only say that I am very happy I do not visit the same places that you do. I have kept my trailer for months on end parked outside my home on my street and have never had so much as a scratch on it. Never a theft, or attempted theft of any kind. Maybe different parts of Mexico to visit would provide you with a different perspective on the People of Mexico and Culture of México.
