AR to Waco. Campgroud or RV suggestions?

We are traveling to Waco today thru Paris Tx, Greenville, trying to avoid the Dallas traffic. may need to stop 4 night b4 actually getting into Waco. suggestions where to stay on that route? or in Waco?
Suggestions for things to do other than Magnolia Silos also would be appreciated. any reviews for BSR CablePark for both Adults & children?

    The I-30 to I-635 to I-20 to I-35 loop around Dallas is okay, if you avoid the rush hours.

    To totally avoid Dallas - Take TX-19 from Paris thru Sulphur Springs and Canton to Athens - the west on TX-31 to Waco. Many nice places to stop for the night near Canton.

    Near Dallas is harder to find. The old KOA at Caddo Mills near Greenville is about the only mid-way stop. On the south side - not much until Hillsboro, and you're very close to Waco by then.
