Well the facts are that most of I10 has a 75 MPH limit so you'll see 75+. Phoenix is 65 MPH limit and those going 85 have the possibility of red lights following them.

You just go up to the next off ramp and come back for East bound 8

Follow the detour sings and you can get there.The big trucks are taking the detour.

Actually getting thru phx is not that hard I you dont hit the am/pm rush hours. Ive been the bypass route and it is nothing to brag about. Took us the same as it does just going thru. Just remember like all southern kalif towns ya have to be driving like a nut most times keeping up with traffic. ... or, do Phoenix route prior to 0600 hrs. ;)

Last time I checked was east bound only:)

Phoenix mid day is a non issue. But good suggestions above.
