We just took I-55 south thru Memphis. Went thru at around 2pm on a Wednesday. Wasn't bad at all. We then took I-55 thru Jackson -- not horrible and then got on to US49. Took US 49 down to Magee. When we left there, a trucker told us to go to I-59 South to 98 West which would take us back to US 49 south connection. We totally avoided Hattiesburg and it was an easy route around that city. We then took US 49 to the gulf. It was a good easy route until Gulfport city limits, then a lot of traffic and traffic lights.
