Around Dallas/Forth Worth
Coming from the east on I30 I would like to pick up I20 west. What is the best route around Dallas/Fort Worth? Thanks

Just don't approach Dallas on I-30 early on a weekday morning, 6 am to 9:30 am. After that you will not likely have any traffic problem, barring an accident of course.
You will experience most of the congestion from Rockwall to I-635. Watch your speed because you can usually count on at least one Mesquite PD of Texas DPS on that section of road.
I second the suggestion of trying to plan your trip thru when your not stuck in AM or PM rush hour traffic.
Expect potential slowdowns in Arlington, S Ft Worth and Weatherford.
