Atlanta route
We're traveling south on I75 from KY going to FL. What is the best route around Atlanta?

As others have said, it's all about time, not the route.
When we drive to Florida from Michigan, we take 75 all the way. We plan our trip so we arrive in northern ATL in the evening. That's our stop for the night, usually around Marietta.
The following morning, if we're feeling frisky, we leave at the crack of dawn and drive through before the morning rush. Otherwise, we laze around until about 10 AM and then drive through.
