We're traveling south on I75 from KY going to FL. What is the best route around Atlanta?

GA-1 is US-27. From Columbus GA up to LaGrange GA it's 2 lane. Not bad but take I-185. From LaGrange up it to Rome it's 4 lanes. But there is no by pass for LaGrange and Carrollton, you go right thru town. It's not a bad drive if you have all day. If you’re in a hurry go thru Atlanta.
