Atlanta to Grand Canyon

I am taking my wife and our triplet 14 year olds to the Grand Canyon.
This is our first time to the South West. Two years ago was Yellow Stone. Last summer was Maine. I wanted to show my kids how much the United States has to offer before they get out of high school. On this trip I am thinking south rim, Lake Mead, Hoover Damn, Vegas, Zion National Park and North Rim. I will traveling in July in a 32 foot Motor Home. Any information would be appreciated.
  • That's a very long ways to view a hole in the ground! Most people spend about 3 hours at the South Rim and don't even visit the North Rim which I think is more educational with unique Ranger talks.
Hoover Dam is worth the 1 hour tour.
Go to www.adventurecaravans.com and read their itinerary for their tour of the great western parks and see if you can add any of their destinations to your trip.
I applaud you for being able to take teenagers to anyplace let alone historical/geographical locations.
