Road closures
The Arizona Department of Transportation late Thursday announced the following closures due to icy conditions:
•Interstate 40 eastbound at Ash Fork, milepost 146.
•Interstate 17 northbound at milepost 307, about 20 miles north of Camp Verde.
•US 60 between Globe and Superior.
•State Route 80 between Tombstone and Bisbee; State Route 90 between Sierra Vista and SR 80 juncture.
There was no immediate word on when the roadways might reopen.
The bad weather is expected to break this afternoon before another storm moves in with a much smaller chance of snow, the National Weather Service said. Temperatures will remain below freezing until early next week.
