Back seat water container and water purification

What do you think of these two drinking water containers for carrying in the back seat of the truck? - shape? size? Do I even need one? Would you have another type container to suggest? Also, can...

I have the second one. It's good because it hold something like 2.5 gallons and is easier to hold while it's draining into the tank.
The only bad thing is the vent just pushes into the top and if you slosh it around enough some water can dribble out the top during transport.
