Most of the taxi and collectivo drivers speak English.
Nice try about buses dropping you off anywhere. In Manzanillo it is a broiling 3 mile walk. Try it at SJdC.

At the junctions. There's two - one toll one freebree road to the airport.
It's been this way for thirty years. There was a big stink about it in 1995. The sindicato won. A taxiista gets the bus number and suddenly the driver is taking pictures of a striped burro on the beach for tourists.
Wealthy people vacationing in Manzanillo call their hotel for a van pickup. People going to Barra de Navidad use a $27 taxi. My last trip out of SJdC was last Easter, to PV. GDL, MEX and other non tourist oriented airports are a lot looser about buses.
Who cares? Destinations like that will chew a $20 bill to death for 4 drinks. A taxi fee is a minor bump on the radar.
