Ban Albertans from BC campgrounds?
When I heard this on CBC radio last week, I thought it was a joke, but I guess not. A nature advocacy group wants to ban Albertans from BC campgrounds due to the mess, noise and obnoxious behavior they create.
I don't know what to say other than I can't fathom anyone treating a campground and nature like this. We don't camp in BC and have not run into this. I assume they are talking about government run provincial campgrounds. This can happen with BC residents too though and have seen it when I used to tent camp here in the 70s. The BC gov't. has severely cut our parks operating and staffing budgets back in recent years which won't have helped. DW was born in Alberta and to categorize people from there as disrepectful and banning all of them is not right.
