If you can live without hookups for a couple of days, consider camping at Johnston Canyon instead of the very noisy Lake Louise campground (the mainline of the Canadian Pacific Railroad between Toronto and Vancouver runs right next to the campground fence). And don't miss driving over Kicking Horse Pass to see the railroad's fascinating Spiral Tunnels and spectacular Takakkaw Falls, Canada's second highest.
