Banning to Visalia California

We're taking our 40' class A (and towing) from Banning to Visalia to see Sequoia National Park. We want to avoid L.A. traffic, mountains uphill, and road construction! As much as possible of course. Please advise on what you think of our plan. I-10 to I-215 to CA395 to CA58 to CA99. Much appreciate the help. We've got our grandauhter with us and wants things to go smoothly.

X 2 took this many times when we lived in Bakersfield and took trips to Palm Springs. Dick

  • I would avoid driving up to Sequoia from Visalia, this section of the highway 36.540562, -118.780196 is not something you'll want to drive a 40' class A ...let alone towing...

Take 99 into Fresno to 180 east, that direction is much easier going..

And not directly on your route.. but Charlie Brown Farms in Littlerock is an interesting place to stop... I always make it there if possible.
