If you want the ocean and tides about 40 feet from your front window then try Kawanis Oceanside Campground in St. Andrews NB. Sitting at your campfire at night all you hear is waves and the sounds of the bells on the bouys in the harbour.
It is within walking distance of the quaint downtown area in St. Andrews. Lots of really good sea food restaurants you can walk to as well.
There is a well organized tourist industry in St. Andrews so lots to do such as whale watching, golf etc.
