BC winter travels...

We have been going south the past years. Not the case for this one coming, so am considering/talking about...BC home travels.

Rather obviously we won't be away for 3 months straight. A week here...two there...if the weather gets really ugly we are never that far from home.

We like wild hot springs. Have been to Lucier, Half-Way..going to Sloquet in September. I don't think we'll do Liard..that's a drive and a half...Any secrets spots you want to share? hauptgw@gmail.com

No doubt we'll be in Vancouver a bit. Plague the kids and some friends.

If you have some thoughts? Ideas...I don't ski anymore, so that's out. Lots of craft brew places to visit. Purely research, of course.

Yes...Tofino and Uculet. I think Toqart Bay will be closed..but I will find out. I wonder if they oysters at Toqart are still as plentiful.

A winter trip without skiing and farther from your part of BC means you're going east. Wood Buffalo? Or do like we talked about and head to Cape Breton, pretty mild there, relatively speaking

If it weren't for the 10 day drive, Cape Breton would be the cats meow.

We would spend more time around Muncho Lake, and also your neighbors around Kelowna.

Muncho, eh? You did see I was saying winter time. Kelowna is up the road by 45 minutes...nawww...too close.

  • Is Radium in there? I'm only familiar with Liard and heard of the Fairmont Group.
