Beef(f meat) while travelling into the states

My wife and I are travelling back into the states after a two year absence. We'd like to take our own home made burgers and lasagna.
Is there any restrictions on beef that one knows of into the U.S.
Our hamburgers will be made and frozen as will the lasagna and it is for personal consumption.

Thanks
Gil and Pam

P.S.
I will also check around on the internet.
  • We discovered a few visits ago there are adequate quantities of food available in the United States so we do not carry fresh foods of any kind :)
  • It's hit or miss with food items. We usually leave empty and get groceries state side so we don't have any worries but this trip we stocked the fridge and freezer at home since the exchange rate is so bad (and prices in U.S. Are high too). No problems crossing. The agent didn't ask us about anything, just checked passports and waved us through.

I don't usually get asked about foods anyways, unless there is an outbreak of sorts. Agents are usually more concerned with weapons, alcohol etc. We crossed at Fort Erie
  • Doesn't look promising, from the U.S. Customs. Prohibited or restricted items may include meats, fresh fruits and vegetables, plants, seeds, soil and products made from animal or plant materials. For generally allowed food items please visit USDA Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service.
