There have been too many credible reports of problems with the Schwab card to suit me.
I have 24/7/365 support with my choice of banks and to me that is worth a lot.
Several years ago a tech working on a BanaMex ATM suggested that Mexican ATMs were likely more finicky than USA machines about errors in a worn magnetic stripe. I keep my cards in paper sleeves given away by my bank. I have a pair of VISA cards, just in case.
