I will be going from Olympia, WA to Sisters, Oregon next month. Which would be the easiest or fastest highway from I-5 to Sisters, 22 or 20? I will be driving a 28' motor home with a toad. I don't mind mountain driving but it loses its fun-factor after a couple of hours.

I have done the 22 / 20 a couple of times and don't think there were any serious issues. We like to go to Silver Falls State Park.

22 out of Salem. Honestly IMHO you would be better off taking 26 over Mt Hood, 97 to Redmond and backtrack the 25 or so miles to Sisters. Easier climb over MtHood. 22 out of Salem is a long climb.BTW 22 and 20 join up near the summit.

My pick would be US 26.Take off north of Vancouver on I-205, down to I-84 to Exit 16 south to US 26.This should avoid heavy traffic through Portland.

22 out of Salem. I have taken our 28 foot motorhome that route many times. Much more senic than 26, and you don't have to deal with the traffic from I5 through Sandy Or!
