Driving from Bar Harbor to Scituate. Would like to avoid stop and go traffic.

Forget I95 as it is a busy highway through a heavily populated urban area.
I495 is the quickest but near the evening rush hour all four southbound lanes become a parking lot in and around Worchester.
Stick to I495 between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM or after 7:00 PM and it is not bad.
