Best Route Cape May NJ to CT-(no GW bridge!! please!)

What is the best route home from sea isle/cape may nj to eastern ct? Trying to avoid the GW Bridge and 95 in general. Garden state to??? Wondering about tolls, tunnels, construction etc... Help!

Garden State Parkway all the way North to the New York Thruway (I-287) and over the Tappan Zee Bridge. After that, depending on where you're going in CT. I just used I-684 to I-84 to I-691 then CT-66 and CT-9 to pick up 95 at East Lyme. RV's and trailers ARE permitted on the GSP.

I don't think there is any way to avoid some construction.
