Best route Coeur D'Alene to Caldwell?
Wondering if we should use 395 to Pendleton then 84 to Caldwell or 95 straight to Caldwell? Any thoughts or comments appreciated.

On Google Maps the I84 route is 50 miles longer, but a few minutes faster. Clearly it is ascribing a faster speed to the all freeway route.
I84 climbs over some low mountains in NE Oregon, most notably a grade just outside of Pendelton. But that's all freeway grades and divided highway.
The grades on US95 mostly have to do with dropping down to Snake/Salmon River level several times.
