Best route from Alpine Tx to Carlsbad NM
Which is best route? We are going to be approx 15 miles north of Carlsbad. Thought about 90 to54 then 62/180?

I just went up 285 from Fort Stockton and then through Pecos to Carlsbad. Particularly around the Pecos area it was a mess due to the oil field traffic and road construction.
