Best route from Bakersfield to Desert Hot Springs in Nov.
I see Barstow over 15 to 10, but am wondering what the non-freeway choices are like, especially this time of year. We will be in Bakersfield this week. Thanks!

Just looking for fresh scenery and no snow... How about 58 to247 at Barstow, then 62? The other route I saw is 58 to 395 to 18 to Lucerne Valley and in on 247? Any preference for this time of year? Thanks!
