Agree with padredw. We like to avoid Austin if at all possible. We were in Kerrville in June and went down 281 from Jacksboro to Johnson City, west to Fredricksburg and then 16 to Kerrville. We stayed at Buckhorn Lake RV Park. That is a beautiful park and super people. Several in our group had larger fifth wheels (ours is 34 ft.) and they used that route with no problems.
