Best route from Palo Duro State Park Texas to Galveston
We'll be traveling through and visiting Palo Duro State Park in Texas before heading down to Galveston. We'd like to avoid the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. Best routes? Thanks.

San Antonio E-W on IH-10 is easy.
Austin is the worst city in Texas, any direction or road.
