I might be late to the game here, but I would take the Wolcott exit, 131 north to Bond, then the Grand County 1 to Kremmling. A couple of NFS campgrounds along the way. Then take the 40 through the beautiful Byers Canyon, soak in the Hot Sulphur Springs Resort, stay for free just outside of it at the State Wildlife area (although a train or two may go past at night) and then onto Granby, Grand Lake and RMNP. I've had our old 38 foot diesel and tow car over the GC 1 with no problem. Hey Bussssskipper, I thought your second home was in my primary hometown of Dillon, CO?
