Best route Rushmore SD to Victor ID
Traveling west in a 33'Class C (no toad) in Late July. Leaving Black Hiills SD bound for a rental home in Victor ID west of Jackson WY. Want to avoid Teton Pass (route 22) west to Victor at all costs....

8-10% up for 2000' and steeper than that going down 2300' in 5 miles. Plenty of curves where it's hard to keep your speed up. You might make it if you have MDT truck with a Jake brake, but no way of knowing what you are pulling with. Teton pass is the only one I've ever gone around and I have a Jake brake.
