I strongly recommend you pick up a TN road map at the state line and check out where the park actually is. There is a reason you have to get on back roads to get there. DO NOT trust GPS directions.
My advice is to take Briley Parkway (SR-155) from I-65, over to I-40 eastbound. Then take exit 288 in Cookeville. Go south on TN 111, then take TN 284 into the park. That takes you in on the side of the park closer to the campgrounds. Farther east, 284 is pretty crooked and you will not want to take the 5th wheel through there.
Stock up on groceries etc in Cookeville.
