- deadeye1ExplorerCheapest gas past Montreal on the HWY 20 is in Drummondville. Its usually 5ยข litre less then Montreal.
- dieharderExplorerI've done this trip 4 times. Only once with a MH. All times I stayed in Canada.
That being said, when I return, I'll go state-side as long as I can. Once you hit the Ontario/Quebec border, the price of gas just keeps going up. If you stay on our side, just make sure you fill up before you get outside of Ontario because you don't want to get stuck paying Montreal prices if you're running on empty. Eek.
There is some really nice scenery once you hit the hills in NB, though. - tedandruthExplorerMax dad...just saw your previous post...the route we saw crossed at Buffalo......at least it avoided Toronto!
- tedandruthExplorerWhat route do you take on the U.S. side? The one we looked at seemed significantly farther. Factoring that in withe the exchange rate might balance out the more expensive gas. Also, are the gas stations easily accessible with a 30 ft trailer?
Thanks. - JaxDadExplorer IIITed & Ruth, lots of gas, none of it cheap. Another reason I try to stay on the US side.
Gary & Maureen, my apologies, I missed your question. If I stay the night along the way it's almost always in a large turnout on Route 2 near Gorham, NH since it's just a nights sleep. If I get there early enough I try to make it for dinner at the Town & Country Inn just south of Berlin. Outstanding food. - tedandruthExplorerResurrecting an old post.....how available is gas in Quebec and New Brunswick, towing. a 30 foot trailer. Usually travel in the US and depend on The Next Exit but decided we should take another trip to Canada's East coast.
- bcowingExplorerWoodstock NB, Cosy Cabins. Beautiful little campground right on the river.
- Gary___MaureenExplorerJaxDad, any recommended cg's between Gananoque and Acadia np?
thanks - JaxDadExplorer IIII've done that general trip too many times to count and in a wide variety of vehicles.
For my money the preferred route is to cross the border at 1,000 Islands (Gananoque) into NY State and then east on a variety of routes depending on how fast you need to travel, or how much scenery you would like. - Gary___MaureenExplorerI PMd you FC
