- Johnny_G1ExplorerI say Thank You for explaining what I have been tryin to get through to some people.
- moonstoneExplorerAll the RV dumping stations at the OnRoute (rest areas)in southern ON are closed due to misuse/abuse by a few people. Too many people were dumping their tanks with out using the sewer hose! At first the operators put a lock on them so people would need to go to the kiosk to get the key then the employee was supposed to keep an eye on them. When that didn't work they just shut them down completely until somebody can come up with a cheap alternative way of making people follow the rules.

Like I said it would be nice if you could find a place to dump, the last 3 times I was in the Toronto area there was none to find 2009 and we had to pay $20 to dump @ Cookstown KOA, we were not allowed to dump in Alliston, only in Earl Rowe park if you could get a big rig in there with a toad, Please put up a list of the places that you know about. Also the dumps were locked and closed at all service centre's on hwy 400, I do know the area quite well as I lived there for 27 yrs. Thank You.Johnny G1 wrote:
There is one thing about Toronto in the summer time, 4-5 million people and very sparse camping area's, lived there for many yrs and most if not all will be booked solid in the summer. Another thing about the area next to nothing for sani dumps and when you find one have lots of money, $15-25 and up is normal.
I suspect your info is a little out of date.
Almost every municipal sewage treatment facility will allow you to dump, usually for free. They also have city water available, again, usually free.
There are 2 municipal treatment plants in Alliston, one in Beeton, one in Tottenham and another in Cookstown. There is no charge to dump there.
The dumps on the 400 are ALWAYS locked, you have to ask staff to open them for you to prevent abuse, but both (northbobound and southbound) new On Route (Province of Ontario) Service Plazas have sani-dumps also.
So there's 7 within a few miles.
As was mentioned, the Toronto area is growing in quantum leaps. - JaxDadExplorer III

The Loretto is still there, virtually unchanged and then there's the Muddy Water in Beeton
Ken - cartervanExplorerThanks so much to all of you for your help. Yes, I can see I should have been more specific. He actually is located almost on the lake in South-Eastern Toronto. Glenn Rouge sounds like a good bet. Maybe when we set a date for a trip north I'll give them a call and see if we can get reservations. Thanks again.
