The quickest and easiest with a big rig is 89N out of Flagstaff to Page, AZ and on to Kanab, Utah. Then south a few short miles back into Arizona at Fredonia and pick up AZ389 to Hurricane, UT which becomes UT59. From Hurricane East on Hwy 9 to Springdale are RV parks. No tunnels and a very pleasant, scenic drive.
Not the OP here but Thank you, scoping out for a southwest/four corners region trip next year and this confirms my thinking that this would be the route. Painted desert/petrified forest/flagstaff/I-17S to Dewy to visit a friend, then back up to grand canyon, Zion, and Bryce. not sure what else at this point.
Again I appreciate the info too.
Charles - TANDDANDBIGEExplorerJust a couple of notes.... 40 between Kingman and Flagstaff is the roughest road I have driven in the last 8000 miles I have had this coach. 89 Flagstaff to Page is full of woop d dos, causing constant proposing. At least those were my experience heading west on 40 and south on 89 in May.

that's not 11', tour buses make it through there all the time. There's a $15 fee for oversized vehicles and they allow them to stradle the center line while opposing traffic is stopped.azdryheat wrote:
What is the 11'H tunnel you speak of?
Zion Mt Carmel tunnel???
I’m quite aware thank you. Apparently, the OP wants to bypass the tunnel, and was asking about a route around it. Geez. Lighten up.
OP, 2gypsies is an optional good route too. - dkreuzenExplorer

But while you are in the Area why not swing By Canyon de Chelly and Monument Valley, on the way? Catching Antelope Canyon just outside Page would be great too - Now I would also check out the North Rim, making this a really good trip.
