- DougEExplorerDefinitely I35, Loop 410, I37. For I35 to Loop 410 stay in the left lanes. I35 and Loop 410 merge for a mile or two and then Loop 410 takes off to the left.
- BB_TXNomadI would also recommend the I-35/I-410/I-37 route. Sunday should be no problem. Weekdays near rush hour I-410 between the I-35/I-410 connection to the north down to the I-35/I-410 split 3-4 miles to the south can be very slow. Or at least the last few times I was thru there, but that was a few years ago. In any event, make sure you move to one of the left two lanes after getting on the I-25/I-410 section as I-410 will split 2 lanes left and I-35 3 lanes right.
Austin will have a lot of traffic also, especially on a weekday and near the downtown area. Just grin and bear it and you will soon be thru it.
There is a lot of construction from north of Waco to south of Salado. But they do a good job of minimizing impact on traffic flow. In fact, traffic generally moves much faster than I care to go. We drive I-35 from Dallas to Georgetown several times each year. - Houston_RemodelExplorerThe roads should be wide open as everyone will be at church.
- PawPaw_n_GramExplorerStraight down I-35 to I-410 on the east side to I-37. No big challenges - easy to follow the signs.
If you are coming from north of Waco - a lot of people travel on US-77 from Waco to the Rio Grande Valley - completely avoids the construction around Temple/ Belton - the Austin traffic and San Antonio. - Cool_CanuckExplorerWe generally use the 410 East loop.
