2 yrs ago there was an iceberg off St. Anthony, at the tip of the northrn peninsula, that was large enough to land a plane. This was in addition to having a small lake from the meltwater. It ran aground just off the northern peninsula.
Right now there are a few small ones just off the beach where I live.
FYI they are names for their sizes. The really small ones are called bergy bits, mid size are growlers and the big ones are the real deal.
