Birmingham to savannah - best route around Atlanta
Will be going to Savannah 10/5 and looking for way to avoid central Atlanta. Was thinking 285 to 407 to 75. Any suggestions?

You know that GA-407 is I-285 right? And yes I-75 and I-85 will be running together where I-20 joins. 5 miles south I-85 splits off to the right, Left lanes go south on I-75. Get fuel in Macon, I-16 doesn't have a lot of choices. Dublin and Metter have the best choices of food and fuel in the middle.
Thought they were the same, but my maps showed it as 407. Planning on overnighting around Locust Grove/Forsyth before going on to Savannah.
