I65 Birmingham

Has anyone been through
Birmingham lately on I65 SB? Last year it was the worst Interstate
I have ever been on. About to take the trip again. Thanks for any
reply.

  • I go thru Birmingham often... it is the roughest interstate route I've ever been on, period.
  • I went thru Birmingham on I-65 South a week ago and I also think it's the absolute worst piece of interstate highway I've seen since I began full-timing 4 years ago.
  • thanks for the replies. ADAD437 we see the problem the same way. Guess I will
just have to hope the wheels don't fall off and go through. Maybe some day
Bham will have the money to pave.

are you kidding, i have drove in better cow pastures than the pavement going threw b-ham.
  • Probably another year or more. No easy way around. I'd go straight through. Watch for lane shifts.
  • Any idea of when the interchange rebuild will be finished? Does not look like there is any way to bypass around it easily.
  • Lots of construction I65 in the heart of Birmingham. They are rebuilding the I65,I20 interchange. Expect delays especially during rush hour.
