Looks like their big mistake was in resisting. When armed men try to rob you,let them take it, it's only stuff. In my case my truck will ony run for 3 minutes before it dies & cannot be restarted. That gives me 6 minutes to disappear plus the time they spend scratching their heads, if they have another vehicle.

Also these guys broke one of the cardinal rules of driving in Mexico, do not travel at night.
