Ely to I-15 and down to Las Vegas is about 200+ miles out of your way. We travel back and forth the way I gave you and have never had a problem with heavy snow. We have a daughter that lives in Hurricane, just north of St George and also travel that way now and then. Much faster to come down 6 & 318.
