Books for Northern Quebec, Labrador and Newfoundland?

Are there any books similar in style to the Church books, like the one covering Northwest Canada and Alaska, but for Northeast Canada? Specifically any covering the James Bay Road, Quebec 389, the ...

Kevin Major was asked to write a very readable history of his province. He did. 2001 – As Near to Heaven by Sea: A History of Newfoundland and Labrador – ISBN 0-14-027864-8 (nominated: Pearson Writers' Trust Non-Fiction Award)

He also wrote The House of Wooden Santas, which is a lovely NL Christmas tale.
