It is interesting how we perceive riskiness and how we let illogical perceptions or even one random incident rule our life.
We get in a car and drive without caring two hoots about the simple fact that in 2012, out of a population of 313,000,000 there were 33,000 deaths due to road accidents in the US. Pretty simple math isn't it - one in 10,000 people die on the roads in the USA EVERY YEAR.
Now to death by firearms in the USA - won't scare you with the actual figures, but recently saw some horrific statistics for children killed by weapons. 20 a day I think it was.
Now, how many US motorhomers have been even moderately inconvenienced let alone murdered, robbed or actually been made to worry about their safety during their travels in Mexico. Compare that to how many of those same motorhomers who have been even moderately inconvenienced let alone murdered, robbed or actually been made to worry about their safety during their travels in the USA.
